SDC

Description:
Provide management and project team leadership in SDC's branch office in Washington, DC overseeing administration, H. R. management, green building project and training management and the associated teams, and coordination of office-specific fiscal reporting activities. Develop improvements to existing and new consulting services. Participate in company strategic planning and long term growth plans.

Requirements:
Must be degreed in and have a minimum of 20 years experience in the building industry to provide staff management and project team leadership in green building / LEED consulting projects. Masters preferred in program related to the building industry such as Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, Construction Management or Facilities Management. Candidate should have a minimum of 10 years experience specific to project management in a related field with substantial staff supervisory and senior level management experience. Project Architect/Interior Designer

Job Description
Project Architect/Interior Designer required for a fast paced corporate setting. The successful candidate must be able to work on multiple commercial projects and interact with clients. Interior Designer must be proficient in finish and furniture selections for corporate commercial tenants. The Project Architect/Interior Designer is responsible for completion of on-site surveys, space plans, specifications and construction documents on multiple projects.

REQUIREMENTS
Space planning, code knowledge and excellent communication skills are essential.
Must be AutoCAD proficient with basic knowledge of building, life safety & ADA codes.Design ability, rendering skills, proficient in the specification of furniture and finish materials are also a job requirement.
Must have a high level of attention to detail, strong initiative and work ethic, presentation skills and excellent prioritization skills for delivery of quality work on schedule.

This is an excellent opportunity for a May graduate with relevant work experience or a seasoned professional with 2-3 years of experience.

Architectural CAD Drafter

Moseley Architects is looking for an Architectural CAD drafter to join their Richmond, Virginia office location. A good candidate will have a minimum of 2 years experience in architectural drafting and be proficient with AutoCAD.

Functions of this position include:
- Preparation of detailed and accurate drawings and revisions as directed by the project manager
- Prepares drawings by incorporating established office standards.
- Ensures drawings are produced within a minimal timeframe
- Provides quality computer generated images

Requirements:

- Architectural Design Technical Degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years experience with Architectural Design
- Must be proficient in AutoCAD 2007
- Must have good communication skills and be able to work as part of a project team

Project Architect

Glave & Holmes Associates seeks an experienced Project Manager to join our Higher Education and Cultural Studios. The responsibilities include oversight of all aspects of assigned projects and directing the work of project teams. Preferred candidates may have interest and experience in sustainable design, museums, visitor centers, performing arts facilities and/or Higher educational projects and adaptive-reuse of existing structures. Applicant must be trained as an Architect and have an active architecture license and between 7 and 10 years of professional experience is preferred. East coast travel may be required. Skilled in Autocad, MS office, Excel, Word, MS Project, and Powerpoint a plus. Any graphics software a plus - Photoshop, Sketch-up, Viz, Illustrator. Revit also a plus.

G&HA is looking for individuals who are passionate about architecture and are interested in adaptive use, renovation, restoration and new construction. This person should have a deep interest in context and the appropriate response to context, as well as history.
