Virginia Society AIA Political Action Committee

Online giving now available: Donate today!

Year after year, the Virginia Society of the American Institute of Architects works to educate Virginia legislators about the complicated issues surrounding the practice of architecture: building codes, qualifications-based selection, statutes of repose, historic tax credits, growth management, historic preservation, and more. Those who understand our issues and who persuade other legislators to share our positions deserve our support at election time, and the VSAIA Political Action Committee can do just that -- with your financial support. Contributions made to the PAC are distributed on a non-partisan basis to candidates for statewide public office who have shown an understanding of the profession's issues.

When you contribute to the PAC, you benefit your practice. You support those legislators with whom we have worked or who have been identified by fellow architects as friends of the profession. Additionally, you will be included on the list of architects who are invited to attend private meetings with your delegate or senator. Your practice will be affected by your representatives' votes; meeting him or her emphasizes that point and places you among the most important architects in that representative's district.

Contribute today! Contributions may be made by personal or corporate checks for state elections in Virginia. Contributions made early have more effect and are remembered longer than those made later in the campaign. Your practice and your profession need your support. For more information, contact T. Duncan Abernathy AIA at 804-237-1776. Mail your check (payable to VSAIA PAC) to Virginia Society of the American Institute of Architects, 2501 Monument Avenue, Richmond, VA 23220.
