This exclusive venue, offering a limited number of evening events, is located on Richmond’s historic Monument Avenue. Our refined interior spaces and elegant garden can be arranged to accommodate a variety of events from sophisticated cocktail parties, to intimate bridal luncheons, to day-long corporate retreats. Our rental program helps to support our operations and educational programming while increasing awareness of our mission in the community. Non-profit rates are available. The Virginia Center for Architecture offers flexible set-up times, kitchen access for caterers, and can be used for both day and evening events. The Center is an operational museum and is housed in an historic building. The protection of the space and exhibitions are a primary consideration. Exhibitions are left intact during all events.

Bathed in natural light, this former bedroom of Mrs. Branch features decorative plaster work and a charming fireplace. This elegant space can accommodate up to 30 people for a board retreat, corporate meeting or formal dinner.
With overstuffed furniture, a distinguished fireplace, and warm lighting, the parlor is a perfect space for a quiet, creative meeting, break out session, or a small reception. The Georgian Parlor can accommodate up to 15 people.
Perfect for an energetic meeting or challenging negotiations, this polished space is the ideal setting for real estate closings, depositions, conferences, break out sessions, and small meetings. The Pope Room can accommodate 8 people.
Designed with entertaining in mind, this adaptable space can be set up to accommodate workshops, lectures, receptions or special events. The adjacent catering kitchen makes this a perfect place for casual parties or formal dining. The Social Gallery can accommodate 62 seated lecture-style, 40 workshop-style or 50 at banquet rounds.
These dramatic and versatile gallery spaces are the perfect venue for celebrating special occasions or planning extraordinary corporate events. Use of these spaces is limited by the exhibition schedule. The Galleries can accommodate 100 seated lecture-style , 60 workshop-style or 70 at banquet rounds.
